Polyurethane Resin Injection
Coal Power Plant Supply Tunnel
The shifting Texas solids had played havoc with the construction joints in a coal supply tunnel at a Central Texas Power Station for years. The soil movement, coupled with a steady flow of water from adjacent.
Jeans Waterproofing of Texas (JWTX) was contacted to evaluate the project and see if they could design a solution. JWTX recommended the installation of non-foaming Polyurethane Injection Resin designed for permanent water cut-off in large joints and flowing cracks. The joints and cracks were meticulously prepared and the resin was pressure injected into the problem areas. Almost immediately, the water flow subsided and the tunnel was dry.
The technicians at JWTX had finally stopped the perpetual stream of water. Even more exciting that the initial success, the tunnel remains high and dry.
